Palin's comeback to the heckler is much better

than John Kerry's "Do you know who I am?"

Take a look, and thanks to AC for the video link.

Same situation, almost same words, in Carson Saturday. No reason not to say it. Track in Iraq, talking point nobody can argue with. As THAT Glenn would say, "Heh."

I'm confounded and disappointed with the way McCain is playing the final days of his campaign.
First, he's letting Palin be the hit-man on the Ayers/Dohrn gambit; if he's going to make this an issue, he's got to do some of the heavy lifting.
Second, why is he avoiding the Jeremiah Wright issue? Some say it's because he's terrified of the "racist" tag. I've got a news flash for McCain: HE'S ALREADY BEEN TAGGED AS A RACIST!! He might as well get some of the benefit by pressing St. Barack to honestly answer the many questions circulating around his twenty-year+ close affiliation with a racist, America-hating, demagogue. It should include Farrakhan as well.
Third: why isn't he hammering St. Barack and all the Democrats over the Community Reinvestment Act? That tactic would involve endless showing of Frank, Dodd, Schumer, and the rest of that gang telling their congressional colleagues that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are above reproach and doing just fine, thank you. And Franklin Delano Raines' acceptance of multi-millions of dollars' in his golden parachute. It's almost too late to bring back any hope of victory, but at least McCain should take off the gloves and fight like he means it. Politics ain't bean-bag.

He's gotten to that, but you wouldn't know. He'll be censored by MSM. E. g., check the reliable Patterico, posting up on journalistic malpractice @ LAT, distinguishing between what McCain actually said in Albuquerque yesterday vs. what the paper wanted you to hear.

Will Rogers could not survive today. If all you know is what you read in the papers, you end up not knowing much.
