"Wait, Wait …It’s OK, They’re All Liberals"

Excerpts from a NY Times story - - -

In a wide-ranging interview on Thursday night, David Axelrod opened up about comparisons to Karl Rove, the White House dress code, President Obama’s battle against smoking, the First Family’s new dog and even Miss California.

The senior adviser to the president and former campaign consultant was the special guest on National Public Radio’s “Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” [hosted by Peter Sagal] which made a road trip to George Washington University in the nation’s capital for an episode that will air this weekend. . . .

[At one point there was a ] conversation weaving between, of all things, Miss California U.S.A. Carrie Prejean, the same-sex marriage opponent who the panel had already mocked at length, and Bo, the Obama family’s Portuguese water dog.

When Mr. Axelrod was asked how involved he was in the selection of Bo, he jokingly answered that he “only got called in for the final three.”

But as Mr. Axelrod was trying to set the record straight – he actually was not consulted – Mr. Sagal asked about the two runner-ups.

“One was Miss California,” Mr. Axelrod cracked to the audience’s laughter. …

RealClearPolitics.com has the audio here; the NYT’s story’s here.

During the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination campaign, then Sen. Joe Biden said
of his nomination rival, then Sen. Barack Obama:

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy ... I mean, that's a storybook, man."
During the presidential campaign Obama called his grandmother who’d raised him “a typical white person.”

Shortly after that Rev. Jesse Jackson said he’d like to “rip [Obama’s] nuts off.” But it had nothing to do with Obama's characterization of the woman who raised him as "a typical white person."

Asked recently about the peaceful “tea party” protests, Axelrod fretted they could develop into something “unhealthy.”

Just days ago at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, Wanda Sykes “joked” she hoped Rush Limbaugh “kidneys would fail” as videos showed the President laughing.

And now Axelrod ridicules Carrie Prejean with his “Miss California” as a name for the Obama’s dog remark to the amusement of the "Wait, Wait … Don’t Tell Me” audience.

Nothing I’ve mentioned here caused a “firestorm of protest” with loud cries from “activists” about “hate speech.”

Reactions typically ranged from shrugs to, as we saw with Sykes and heard with Alexrod, laughter.

Why’s that?

Wait, wait … don’t tell me!

Those making the offensive remarks are all liberals.

Outrage is fed by information. The lapdog media has no intention of either informing the public or setting a tone of disapproval. There are two things at which lefties excel, hating those on the right and accusing righties of hating them. Maybe it's projection.

Only leftwing nuts and other brain-dead losers listen to PBS, hence nobody who matters heard any of that drivel.

'Hypocrisy is the greatest luxury, raise the double standards.'

I don't blame this on the Liberals, but on the media for letting them get away with it.

Occasionally I listen to the program (generally when I am driving to visit my children in their far off locales). It is obvious the political tilt of the in-show audience and the panelists. THe only people who really pay any attention to what is said on the program are those who believe that any conservative is morally, politically, and economically suspect as well as a hypocrite. Thus, what is said must be taken with a grain of salt.
It is a case of where one must consider the source.

Don't forget about the Special Olympics blunder by Obama which would be shown just about every night by John Stewart if Bush had been dumb enough to utter it.
