(One of a series of weekday posts on the life of Winston S. Churchill.)
Those of you are rushing about doing last minute Thanksgiving shopping may be asking:
What was his favorite whiskey?
It was Johnnie Walker Red.
Wine?
Claret or as we say in America, Bordeaux.
Brandy?
Hine.
Champagne?
Pol Roger.
And from time-to-time he enjoyed a beer.
Cheers.

In the movie "The Gathering Storm," there is a scene where Churchill's wife finds out that their finances are becoming precarious. Their accountant informs Mrs. Churchill that Winston had agreed to make "certain economies." "What economies?" demands Mrs Churchill. "He has agreed to cut back to three bottles of champagne a night."
