Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit:
A reader emails: “From Election Day 2000 to Election Day 2008, the S&P 500 fell 29.8%. From Election Day 2008 til this afternoon, it’s down 33.3%.” OuchEverything was supposed to get better if only we’d elect The One.
Anyone remember "Hope and Change?"
Count me among those hoping President Obama changes.

From election day 2006 ( when the Democrats regained control of Congress )to election day 2008 the S&P 500 fell about 27.3 %. This means that virtually all of the S&P's decrease under Bush occurred during the last two years of his term when the Democrats controlled Congress.
And things have gotten worse now that the Democrats control both the legislative and executive branches of our government.
