I can't think of a worse remark by a political leader during the current campaign than Gov. Huckabee's at the NRA convention today.
I'm a history buff who's skeptical of much that mainstream media tells us. I'm rooting hard for America and civilization.

Huckabee may have ‘shot’ down his VP chances. He said a dumb thing, so under the bus with him! I would guess he was making a lame joke, but his tasteless humor will be pulled into the mindless news cycles until the next gaffe occurs.
Of course, because he is politically conservative, the liberal’s scripted outrage will hit the drumbeat and echo tactics of the MSM.
We have become a humorless PC society, and no matter what is said, it offends someone. No wonder all we hear is senseless pandering, we deserve it.
I have the distinct misfortune of being in Portland, Oregon this week before their primary.
Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson have made a TV ad for Senator Clinton. They say, ”George Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction, blah, blah, blah. These depressing, wooden people say Hillary will save the day. It is absolutely the worst, and cheapest looking ad I have ever seen.
Being a blue state seems to say Dems don’t have to even bother campainging, sad ‘State’ of affairs here for conservative thinkers.
TGIF- I am headed back home.
