I am stunned that the official White House Blog published this picture and that it is in the public domain. The body language is most revealing.
Sergeant Crowley, the sole class act in this trio, helps the handicapped Professor Gates down the stairs, while Barack Obama
, heedless of the infirmities of his friend and fellow victim of self-defined racial profiling, strides ahead on his own.
So who is compassionate?

I suspect the message Obama's handlers wanted to express goes something like this:
After just a few minutes with the Great One, Gates and Crowley were walking arm in arm.
And KC still deludes himself that President BO actually gave a rat's ass about some non-African-American-Boys in Durham.

The epitome of arrogance. That working class, blue collar cop out-classed The Professor and The One every step of the way. It was actually fun to watch. Steve in New Mexico
Crowley is a class act. The reason why the picture was not headines is because it does not fit the narrative constructed by the WHite House and the toadying press.
