The unbelievable Obama and media bias

An excerpt from Mike Williams electronic letter today followed by brief comments below the star line.

From Mike - - -

At RealClearPolitics, Carolyn Glick calls Obama’s Iranian policy prescriptions a “massive act of appeasement."

Indeed, Obama himself told the good folks of Oregon that Iran “is not a threat” to the U.S.

But the very next day in Montana: “I've made it clear for years that the threat from Iran is grave.”

Power Line’s John Hinderaker: “Can someone explain why it is, exactly, that Barack Obama is not a laughingstock?”

American Thinker’s Thomas Lifson: “Two words: media bias.”

Comments:

Mike has done us all a great service by finding, highlighting and linking to those five posts.

They're each instructive and together offer a revealing and troubling look at Senator Obama.

I think they'll be especially enlightening to citizens who've let themselves get carried along by the Anythng For Obama media without examining the senator's background and statements.

Question: How long will it be before we start seeing this bumper sticker - - Obama: Changes You Can't Believe In?

John: No matter how many times we catch Mr. Obama in telling lies, performing amazing feats of verbal ledgedermain, talking out of both sides of his mouth, flipflopping, and using selective memory, his acolytes will always accuse us of being racists--for criticizing Saint Obama because we don't like his skin color. They simply can't accept the reality that Mr. Obama is quite literally an unfit candidate for the highest office in the land due to inexperience, extreme leftwing ideology, crackpot diplomatic theories, and an inability to deal with truth. The MSM is his enabler just as they were the enabler of Nifong and whats-his-name the president of Duke.

I read four interesting stories today. All important signals of ‘Change’ perhaps:

1.[Ed] Koch: I May Back McCain

2. Geraldine Ferraro may not vote for Barack Obama because of his “terribly sexist” ways.

3.Oprah Stung by pro-Clinton Backlash

4. Abortion-Rights Group Faces Backlash After Obama Endorsement

This is a bit of information I meant to send from Portland. The free concert was the main draw for many, and leaving that information out of the story was selective reporting at its best.

Free Concert by Popular Band Preceded Obama’s Big Rally

NewsBusters ^ | May 20, 2008 | Robert Knight
From CNN to the New York Times, the media hyped Barack Obama's Portland, Oregon rally on Sunday, some comparing him to a rock star. Unmentioned in national reporting was the fact that Obama was preceded by a rare, 45-minute free concert by actual rock stars The Decemberists.

How many of the people showed up to hear Obama, and how many to hear the...

I think the Democrat calculus has to be the following: Don't nominate Obama and face the wrath of Americans of African descent who could easily stay home and not vote. Bottom line: lose the White House and the Congress (and who knows what else). Alternative scenario: Nominate him, generate lots of enthusiasm, probably (but not certainly) lose the White House, but retain the Congress.

Which choice would you take?

PS I agree with TH and archer05, but not Ken for reasons stated.

You might be right in a rational time.

Just one lightning strike to spook the herd. Just one.

Talk radio is running about 90% against Obama in my estimation, print media about even for and against, and as far as TV goes, just watch Fox news and tell me in your honest opinion; is that 'fair and balanced'? LOL.

=>print media about even for and against<=

Hmmmm.... I guess I missed any liberal print media that came out against RHO.

Are you refering to just conservative print media?

To Ken:

Like John here, I favor Real Clear Politics for a good summary of both for and against Obama news as well as HRC and old man McCain. Despite the many articles that JIC uses from that source that are negative towards Obama, there are an occasional one or two that actually speak of Obama in a positive manner.

That's not a 50% split by any means.

I don't relly care who you support. Its a free country. However, when you fabricate things to bolster some agenda, your opinions are worthless.
