A question about SOTU camera pans

I just watched President Bush praise Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito confirmations.

During the applause that followed, the camera pan showed only the Republican side of the House.

Immediately after his Roberts and Alito remarks, Bush praised Justice O'Conner's service to America.

More applause, but this time the camera panned both sides of the House.

Why the difference in pans? Coincidence? Or one of those CNN-type "oops, we didn't mean it" moments?

I'm watching Fox but I think the stations use a shared feed.

Can anyone help with my question?

I can't shed any official light on the question. But I just watched the same address. I noticed that the camera pan was carefully choreographed, with one exception.
That exception being when the president said "we will not wait for them to hit us again.", the camera panned the whole room. Not one democrat stood or applauded.

The message: We Democrats would welcome another attack on US soil if it would help us regain political power in the country.

Everybody that won't stand for defense of the nation needs to be separated from it. We won't miss them.

I am opposed to a permanent renewal of the Patriot Act, so it may not be said that my opinion is the result of knee-jerk ideology or partisanship. Still I am wholeheartedly dedicated to the protection and defense of this nation. Something that not one Democrat at the State of the Union Address evinced.

Shame on them and the cretins that keep voting them into office.

Straight A,

I noticed the same thing.

It will be interesting to see how MSM "explains" the sit-down Dems.

Can't wait for tomorrow's papers.

Can we call them unpatriot now?

They must not use a shared feed-- at least not for reaction shots. At the end of the "we will not wait for them to hit us again" line referenced by straightarrow FNC cut to a Hillary reaction shot where she was shaking her head with a goofy smirk. The POTUS had just referenced the NSA surveilance of terrorists.

I saw that too, monkeydarts. It probably was a shared feed. I just didn't comment on it because Clinton disloyalty is too common to be remarkable.

Did anybody expect any different from her?

Just further evidence that the Dems are not interested in making the United States safe for the future, either from terrorist attacks or to increase the economic security of the country. All they are interested in is getting back into power. Agree with straightarrow - shame on those people who keep voting these bums back into office year after year after year...
