Remember When “European Leaders”

were, we were told, all “gah-gah” over Senator Obama and panting to see him elected President?

Now in a
Guardian story about this week's G-20 meeting in London we read:

European leaders are worried that Obama's huge public spending programmes could fuel hyperinflation and leave Europe struggling to refinance colossal levels of state debt if they followed suit.
The entire story’s here.

Obama promised to end “the politics of division.”

But who knew last Fall that he’d bring Europe’s mostly center-left leaders and America’s thoughtful conservatives and independents together in apprehension over what Team Obama’s planning?
