John,
I am glad you brought this one up. People like John Edwards are the worst kinds of hypocrites. Furthermore, it is not just his lifestyle not matching his rhetoric that is bad, but his policy prescriptions are destructive of even a semi-free market economy. Does this guy really believe that the state can provide all that we need?
If that is true, then why does Edwards not go ahead and live in public housing? Take your shots on this guy, because he deserves them.

I can't look at the pictures. 10 million of his money came from Asheville doctor's insurers. This resulted in NC Med Mutual raising ob/gyn rates so high we all had to reduce coverage and buy from another company. Bad baby cases seek at least 15 million in compenstation. We can only afford 1 million in coverage. I retired. These high wards had significant consequences. The C section rate is passing 40% with no end in sight. More MRI's and CT's ordered. Tougher cases are refused and mountains of documentation filling medical records. Who is paying for all this? You are in higher premiums ! Of course ignorant juries ignore the evidence that CP is not caused by malpractdice. This is why the 3 accused may not receive justice if there is a jury trial. Even with the overwhelming amount of evidence of innocence there is that chance that a jury would convict them. Especially in North Carolina. Especially in Durham.
