Video of KC Johnson

If you've not had a chance to see and hear KC Johnson in person or on TV, this may do it for you.

Below is a URL to an ABC News program video. There's an ad first. Then a news segement on the Nifong Hoax story begins; and KC comes on just over two minutes into it. He's on for quite a while.

KC Johnson needs to be on the faculty or part of the adminstration of Duke University.

Why don't you use your blog to start an organized movement to get that accomplished?

From a poster named Newport at the Liestoppers blog:

Nifong obtained the players' headshots on March 24 I believe pursuant to the overbroad and unconstitutional ID order signed by Stephens (no individualized suspicion) based on the false affidavits of Himan and Saacks. They did not have the medical report at this time yet they stated to the court that they had obtained the report and made several representations about the report that were not true. Further, they misled the court with regard to the whole basis for the overbroad order, the "false names" theory, of which no evidence existed other than the accuser's highly suspect word.

The accuser was shown 4 groups of 6 photos on March 16, each one of the groups containing a Matt, Brett or Adam. She was shown another 12 photos on March 21. She had not identified anyone as an attacker and she stated that they all look alike. Her descriptions were less than useless and highly suspect.

Why did Nifong wait 10 days, until April 4 to show the accuser the police mug shots that he had obtained by extraordinary means? Could it be because they had effectively given up on the accuser being able to identify anyone?

On March 28 Nifong obtained word from the SBI that there were no semen samples identified in the rape kit.

Around this same time (March 30??) Nifong changed his public tune from the DNA will identify the guilty and exhonerate the innocent to "who needs DNA" we will do this the old fashioned way where witnesses stand up and tell what happened to them.

On March 31 Nifong rigged the lineup procedure and told Gottlieb to only show the accuser lacrosse players violating Durham Police guidelines and state-wide norms.

Thus, Nifong waited 10 days to do a procedurally flawed lineup, and he did it only after he knew that
1) he had no DNA and
2) the accuser could identify no one using procedures that somewhat followed standard practice.

He essentially rigged the entire process, altering procedures and changing theories of the value of DNA evidence to fit the developing facts of the case.

This case was a frame from a very early point.
