Parents and college tuition: A light note

Lots of talk these days about college costs. And no wonder, with many colleges charging $50 thousand or more per year and delivering what seems more like ideology than education.

The country needs to examine what colleges are charging and what they're delivering. But I won't get into that now.

Instead, this light note:

A college student sent his father an email requesting more money. Knowing his father enjoyed doggerel, the student wrote:

Dear Dad,

I've no mon

So no fun

With love,

Your son

His father replied

Dear Son

Oh, it's sad

But that's too bad

With love,

Your Dad
