The most famous example was a key gun-control vote that he missed while he was vacationing in Hawaii.

The Chicago Tribune blasted him as "gutless." One Chicago pol says that "the myth developed that when there was a tough vote, he was gone."(Conveniently, his votes never appeared on the record as pro, or con, that might haunt him later.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13073631.post-81348756901883757042008-06-04T13:25:00.000-04:002008-06-04T13:25:00.000-04:00Definitely off topic, but---Has the world gone mad...Definitely off topic, but---Has the world gone mad?

Sarasota, FL (LifeNews.com) -- After an avalanche of phone calls and emails from pro-life advocates locally and across the country, Habitat for Humanity in Sarasota, Florida has disassociated itself with a proposed Planned Parenthood abortion center.

Florida-based Planned Parenthood tried to use a Habitat for Humanity cover to overcome hurdles to building a new abortion business.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13073631.post-63069394854448143782008-06-04T12:26:00.000-04:002008-06-04T12:26:00.000-04:00John, The Chicago Tribune has accumulated a huge O...John, The Chicago Tribune has accumulated a huge Obama file, it is readily available information: No one cares?

Gone are the days that a Dan Rather producer would spend five years researching if GWB completed his military physicals. But McCain is head and shoulders above Mr. Obama in all respects, so I don't have a problem with supporting the GOP nominee. I believe as people take a closer look at Mr. Obama's very leftwing record (I can't call him a liberal because I believe the term is misused today--a true liberal would reject out of hand what today's "liberals" espouse), they will conclude 1) he has absolutely no experience which qualifies him to be president, 2) he has not explained why, if he disagrees with the likes of Wright, Ayers, and Pfleger, he has maintained a close association with them for two decades, and 3)what would his supreme court nominees look like (shudder). As the electorate begins to focus on the real Barack Obama, I believe the support he now enjoys will fade and in the end the only people supporting him will be die-hard Black racists, arch leftwing reactionaries, and the hopelessly naive. The wheels will come off before the general election.
Tarheel HawkeyeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
