I asked (via email) Fred Smith if he planned to work for a change in our law and was met with a deafening silence. If a GOP candidate is afraid to tackle this issue, it makes me wonder why we don't just elect a King. I'm happy I no longer call myself a Republican because the principles of that party seem to have been jettisoned. There isn't a single politician in the Old North State with sufficient moral fiber (not to mention testicles) to take the necessary action to change our law; a law which enabled two dishonest policemen to tell bare-faced lies to a grand jury panel to get the indictments of the three lacrosse players. <BR/>Tarheel HawkeyeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
