Carter appointed a political hack G. William Miller as Chairman of the Fed. The man was a big corporate contributor. If a more proactive approach had been taken in '77, I wouldn't have been paying 16% mortgage in the early 80's. Despite all the hoopla about his foreign policy, his actions have been disastrous. The most recent was endorsing the election of the nutcase Chavez, but don't forget the '94 treaty with North Korea - the one that we're now trying to recover from. He negotiated that one. The 1980 summer olympics, the Iran revolution. Back then everyone hated us and were laughing at us. Carter was thrown out after one term in a landslide. He has been trying to screw all of us since then. No question, he's the worst of ALL time.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02936493074019809513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13073631.post-2891504002256633232007-05-22T13:51:00.000-04:002007-05-22T13:51:00.000-04:00Anon said: "I have lived long enough to remember t...Anon said: "I have lived long enough to remember the helicopters taking off from the American Embassy in Saigon. I dunno how you lose a war when you're not funding one and you have no troops involved, but there you go.

-ACAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13073631.post-50259758727467139442007-05-22T11:51:00.000-04:002007-05-22T11:51:00.000-04:00Carter is just a mean, bitter old person who reali...Carter is just a mean, bitter old person who realizes that his place in history will not be looked on with favor.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13073631.post-41060333001952726972007-05-22T06:41:00.000-04:002007-05-22T06:41:00.000-04:00Carter has shown himself to be a bit less than pre...Carter has shown himself to be a bit less than presidential with his crtitiques, however valid.

That said, I'll take a hundred Bill Clinton's over the guy thats been in the office the last seven years, just to be fair about it.

I don't like Clinton's lies, but I liked his presidency.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13073631.post-61872495976570322452007-05-22T05:10:00.000-04:002007-05-22T05:10:00.000-04:00John - any comment on boming the commies to the pe...John - any comment on boming the commies to the peace table in Vietnam? He could not even get himself reelected. Tip O'neill said "Carter was the smartest President, he ever met." Not ture now and really needs to retire from public life.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
